I love your magazine! Anyway, I just got back from what I thought was a great date. We had a ton of fun and seem to have a lot of chemistry. Your question is a great one. It's also a very challenging question because it's not always easy to tell when your date is genuinely interested or when they are just being nice.

If your date exhibits most of the following specific signs, it could be an indication that your date is truly interested in you:

1) Your date compliments you ("you look great", "I love your sense of humor," "You're easy to talk to," "I love your smile," etc.).

2) Your date uses words like "we," "us," or "together" ("we'd have a lot of fun trying ____," "We should do ____ sometime," "We do this well together," etc.)

3) Your date references future events with you ("If we ever go bowling, I think you'd win")

4) Your date innocently touches you. One of the biggest signs of a person's interest and comfort level is if they touch you. Like a slight tap on the shoulder, a quick touch on your arm to make a point. These are very innocent and natural movements that comes from someone who feels genuinely comfortable with you.

5) Your date leans towards you and doesn't sit back with arms crossed.

6) At the end of the date the person says "I had a lot of fun" instead of "It was nice to meet you."

While these all may be signs of an enhanced interest, there are no guarantees. There are a lot of mysteries about dating and one is how the other person truly feels.
